Celina Castillo

Celina Castillo, age 90, passed away on Saturday surrounded at home by her loving family members. She was born in Cartagena, Colombia, to Renato and Elena Marsiglia. For many years, Celina resided in Piscataway, NJ. Celina was a pilar of strength and love for her family.

She was married to her loving husband Victor M. Castillo, who predeceased Celina in 1990.

Celina is survived by her four devoted, loving children Judith Pagan, who is married to Gilbert Pagan who called Celina ‘Bella Dama’, Victor Castillo, who is married to Karmen Castillo, Jairo Castillo, and Inelsy Meneses, who is widowed by her husband Jose Meneses.

Affectionately known as 'Otra Mami', or 'Other mother' to her cherished grandchildren and great grandchild, Celina is survived by Vivian Pagan, Derek Pagan who predeceased Celina in 2005, Shirley Castillo, Brandin Meneses, Kevin Meneses, Justin Meneses, Artemis Lynn Pagan. And a special family member is Don Kane.

Celina had the most amazing sense of humor and quick wit. She was a sweet, kind-hearted person whose glow would fill any room. Celina's generosity and selflessness were the cornerstone of her life. She was a music afficionado, superb at dancing, and had a passion for cooking the most delicious and sumptuous food that brought joy and comfort to everyone. Celina found great joy and happiness watching her family come together at family events and holidays. Celina absolutely adored her most treasured holiday, Christmas, as her house was always festooned with the most spectacular decorations. Celina's flower garden was a bounty of beauty, especially her roses, which she liked the most.

Celina leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories and a family that has been deeply touched by her unwavering love, devotion, and care.

Gathering with the family will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, June 14th, 2024, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, NJ.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 15th, 2024 at St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook.

Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.

All services are under the care and supervision of Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home.
