Carolyn Gleason

Carolyn Gleason, a devoted mother and friend passed away on November 23, 2023. Born on September 22, 1943, in Oklahoma City, OK. Carolyn was the beloved daughter of Frank and Nobie (nee McLemore) Haney.

Carolyn's early years were marked by a selfless dedication to her family. She made the unselfish decision to leave high school to care for her younger siblings, David, Cynthia, George, and Lyne. Carolyn crossed paths with a soldier, Joseph Gleason who was stationed in New Jersey and became her husband.

Carolyn served as the Lafayette School PTA president, she also worked part-time at the school as a playground supervisor. Carolyn also was a waitress at Heidi Ho Restaurant in Branchburg and worked at Knickerbocker Toys.

Carolyn was not only defined by her work and family roles but also by her creative talents and hobbies. An avid crocheter, she loved sharing her handcrafted creations. Her love for animals, especially her cherished cats and dogs was unconditional.

Carolyn Gleason is survived by her children Carrie, Joseph and Beth, her sister, Lyne Tow and many friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Friends and family are invited to the Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home for a Memorial Gathering on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. Cremation was held privately.
