Carmela Ricci Juronics, 90, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at Bridgeway Senior Health Care, Bridgewater. Born September 6, 1923, in Bound Brook, she was the daughter of Anthony B. and Mary Mignella Ricci. She lived in Bound Brook most all of her life, moving to New Brunswick for seven years following her marriage. Carmela was employed as Office Manager for the former Sisser Brothers Moving Co., Somerville, for 28 years. She was also employed as an Administrative Assistant in the Somerset County Board of Freeholders office and the Somerset County Road Department. Carmela was a member of Court Gloria No. 462, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, for 56 years, serving as Regent for 4 years and Grand Regent for 6 years. She held many other offices and served as Chairperson for fashion shows, communion breakfasts, and dinners. She was also very active all of their charitable fund raising events. Carmela was a member of the New Jersey State Past Regents Club and supported all of their charities. A Communicant of St. Joseph R. C. Church, Bound Brook, she was a long time member of the St. Joseph Rosary Altar Society. She was an avid bowler and served as second vice-president of the Somerset/Hunterdon Women’s Bowling Association. She also served as Vice President of the Bound Brook Mixed League, and President of the Bowlerama Summer Mixed Bowling League. She attended and bowled in many statewide tournaments and the national W.I.B.C event. Carmela was a member and served as Vice President and Treasurer of Giles-Biondi Unit No. 63, American Legion Auxiliary, Bound Brook. She was also a member of the Bound Brook Seniors Club, and a member and former committee person for the Bound Brook Republican Club. Carmela was predeceased by her husband, Stephen G. Juronics, who died December 26, 2006, her sister Dorothy R. Blasse, and her brother Anthony J. Ricci. Surviving are her sister, Felice R. Zujkowski of Bound Brook, her brother, Michael A. Ricci of Middlesex, and many godchildren, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be 9:30 A.M. Saturday, January 25, at Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, followed by a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church. Interment will be at Bound Brook Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home Friday, 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M.
