Calleigh Eaton

Calleigh Eaton, 16 months, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018, at her family’s home in South Bound Brook. Calleigh was born three months early at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick . She was in the Neonatal Intesive Care Unit for ten weeks, fighting the entire time. Despite being a preemie, Calleigh was flourishing and hitting all her milestones right on time. She was walking, dancing, and dressing herself up in her “pretties.” Unlike most children her age, Calleigh was not a picky eater. She loved to eat, would eat everything and insisted on feeding herself. On the occasions that her mom and dad were able to spoon feed her, Calleigh would spit whatever was in her mouth out into her hand and feed it to herself like a “big girl.” Calleigh was a daddy’s girl. Dada was her first word. She loved to play peek-a-boo and give her daddy kisses. She loved playing with her big brother, Connor, especially dinosaurs. She and Connor would roar at each other like dinos, which ended in fits of giggles. Calleigh idolized Connor and he was the only one who could get a huge belly laugh from her. Everything Connor did crack Calleigh up, he was the funniest kid around. Calleigh hated being in her car seat, and gave her mom a pretty hard time when it was time to get buckled up - but when mom told Calleigh it was time to go pick up Connor from school - getting her into the car seat was never a problem. She couldn’t wait to get to school and pick up her best friend. Calleigh leaves behind her mom and dad, Christopher and Stephanie Eaton; her big brother, Connor; her grandparents, Charlotte and Mark Folchetti; her Aunt Kathy and Uncle Skyler Warnock, and her Uncle Rudy Pena. Cremation was private. Gathering with the family will be at the funeral home on Friday, January 12, 2018, from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., with a memorial service beginning at 6:00 P.M. Family and friends are encouraged to wear Calleigh's favorite colors - teal and coral - or any other bright and beautiful colors.
