Borivoj Jasek

Borivoj Jasek (known by many as "Bob"), 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerville, New Jersey. Born in Czechoslovakia, Bob emigrated to the United States with his family in 1971, seeking a brighter future. With dedication and skill, he built a successful career as a civil engineer, serving Hudson County for 25 years before retiring as County Engineer. Outside of his profession, Bob embraced life with vigor and passion. He was an avid skier, finding joy and freedom on the slopes, and a devoted bicyclist who cherished the open road. His love for speed extended to his enthusiasm for sports cars, which he admired for their elegance and engineering.

Bob was predeceased by his wife, Gabriela in 2022. He is survived by his sons Paul (Brenda), Roger (Lynn) and David; his three grandsons and three granddaughters. Arrangements are in the care of Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, Bound Brook. Cremation was private.
