Blanzar Link

Blanzar Link, 92, died Sunday, May 15, 2016, at home. Born December 24, 1923, in Middlesex, he was the son of Blanzar and Mary Merk Link. He graduated from Roosevelt High School, Dunellen, Class of 1942, and later attended Middlesex County Community College. He served in the US Army as a Military Policeman during World War II. Mr. Link was a foreman at National Starch and Chemical Co., Dunellen, for over forty years. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and trips to Atlantic City. He loved animals, and fed and cared for feral cats and deer in his neighborhood. Mr. Link is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Joan M. [Jackson] Link. Friends will be received 9:00 - 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, at the funeral home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 A.M., also at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Memorial contributions may be made to the Plainfield Area Humane Society, 75 Rock Ave., Plainfield, NJ 07063.
