Betty Huntzinger

Betty L. Huntzinger, 93, died Saturday, February 10, 2018, at The Gardens at Monroe Healthcare, Monroe Township. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvanis, before moving to Bound Brook, where she lived for many years before moving to Monroe Township several years ago. She was a dental hygienist for Alfred Sferra, D.D.S. in Bound Brook, for many years before her retirement. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church, Bound Brook, where she taught Sunday School and was a church visitor. She was a Girl Scout leader, a former member of the Women’s Association, Brook Fellowship, Order of the Eastern Star, Protestant Fellowship, and the Monroe Township Senior Center. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl J. Huntzinger, in 1999, and three brothers, Robert B. Dunkle, Tucker V. Dunkle and Lee C. Dunkle. She is survived by her son, Gary Huntzinger of East Windsor, her daughter-in-law, Ann Gould of East Windsor, her granddaughter, Emma Huntzinger of East Windsor, and her sister, Jane Kurtz of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, February 15, 2018, from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M., at The Presbyterian Church, 409 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM.
