Bernadette Dombey

Bernadette M. Dombey, 82, died peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday, April 15, 2016, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Somerville. Born in Bound Brook, she was the daughter of Dominic and Mary (Cimino) Campanella. She was a lifelong resident and attended St. Joseph Elementary School and graduated from Bound Brook High School in 1951. She worked as a clerk with the Somerset County Surrogates Office for 23 years, before retiring 1996. She enjoyed family gatherings and keeping her Italian Christmas and Easter family traditions. She loved her family and friends and always had a smile on her face. Bernadette was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, David Sr. in 2014, her son Daniel in 2012, and her brother Michael in 1997. She is survived by her loving son David Dombey, Jr., her sisters Matilda Liscio, Pauline Forktus, and Yolanda Woldin, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bound Brook Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
