Barry L. Weinstein, 66, died Monday, January 6, 2014, at Somerset Medical Center, Somerville. Born April 7, 1947, in Somerville, he was the son of Jacob and Ethel Horowitz Weinstein. He graduated from Bound Brook High School, Class of 1965, and lived in Bound Brook before moving to South Bound Brook in 1995. Barry retired in 1997 as a Supervisor with The Okonite Company, North Brunswick. He was an active member of Congregation Knesseth Israel, Bound Brook, where he had been Manager of the Synagogue Cemetery Association, was a member of the Synagogue Men's Club, and served as an usher. He was a member of Lodge No. 988, Loyal Order of the Moose, Bound Brook. He enjoyed reading and was an avid sports fan. Barry was well known by the citizens of Bound Brook and South Bound Brook and will be missed. Barry is survived by his sisters, Phyllis and Norma, several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 9, at Congregation Knesseth Israel, 229 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, with Rabbi Jack Kramer officiating. Interment will be at Arlington Jewish Cemetery, North Arlington. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Knesseth Israel. Arrangements are by Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, Bound Brook.
