Barbara J. Henderson

Barbara J. Henderson 72, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2024. She was beloved by all who were blessed to know her.

Barbara was born in Somerville, NJ on April 12, 1952 and was currently living in Branchburg New Jersey. She was a graduate of Bound Brook high school class of ‘ 71.

She worked at GAF Corporation in South Bound Brook in the late 70s. She lived in South Bound Brook before moving to Florida in 1983, where she worked for Largo Hospital until 1986 when she returned to NJ. She worked at Raritan Valley Community College from 1987 to 2012.

Barbara was creative, and her passion in life was crafting and creating beautiful items making memories along the way. She loved palm trees and pink flamingos. She loved traveling to Florida and to Lancaster, PA. She was the one in the family that always took pictures and kept them for years capturing many cherished moments. She loved spending time with family and was a caregiver to many.

She is predeceased in death by her parents, Robert J. Henderson Sr. and Dorothy Henderson, as well as her life partner, Don Cisco.

She is survived by her dear siblings: Linda Mazzariello (Frank), Robert J. Henderson, Jr. (Helena), Kenneth Henderson (Theresa), and Brenda Daquino;

Nieces and nephews: Anthony Mazzariello, Timothy Mazzariello, Heather Gilbert, Melissa Henderson, Laura Daquino - Osterberg, Matthew Henderson, Lauren Henderson, Tyler Henderson, and Brianna Daquino.

Her Aunt: Ella Mae Pongratz and

great nieces, and nephews: Brooklyn and Cameron Mazzariello, Carmello and Marcello Gilbert, and Carmela and Valentina Osterberg.

A gathering to honor Barbara will be held on Friday, May 17 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Hagan Chamberlain Funeral Home. Cremation was private.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Barbara, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
