Anne S. Yantz 89, died Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Willow Creek Rehabilitation and Care Center, Somerset. Born in Elizabeth, she was the daughter of Adoph and Kasmir (Stapinskis) Stasulis. She went to Battin High School in Elizabeth, NJ and attended Ohio University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. While in college she served as the president of and was elected to the Art Honorary. An accomplished artist, she has several paintings in private collections. Graduate courses led to her receiving her teaching certificate and she became an art teacher in Long Valley, initiating the school's art program. She was active in many Morristown organizations and spent more than 20 years volunteering at the Morris Museum in the school loan department. She was a den mother for the Cub Scouts, the Girl Scout Cookie Chairwoman and served as president of the Morris Township PTA. She and her husband of 67 years, Francis spent most of their lives in Morris County before moving to Somerset in 2003. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church, South Bound Brook. Mrs. Yantz was predeceased by her son, Christopher. She is survived by her husband, Francis of Somerset, her three daughters, Madeleine (Richard) Nehls of Randolph; Deborah (Edward) Rowland of Greensboro, NC; Elise (Kevin) Falvey of Wyckoff; her 2 sons, Eric of Paxton, MA; Frederick of Allamuchy; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will begin 9:15 AM Saturday, January 11, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mercy Church, South Bound Brook. Interment will be at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM at the funeral home.
