Anna Gullia Civiletti, 86, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017, surrounded by her family. Born in Calabria, Italy, she was the daughter of Joseph and Domenica (Cirianni) Gullia. Anna emigrated to the United States in 1966, settling in Bound Brook. She was a faithful communicant of St. Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church in Bound Brook. Anna and her family owned and operated Little Italy Pizzeria, or as everyone in town called it, “Little Its”. She loved to cook, and she did most of it from scratch, from growing the tomatoes for her famous sauce, the grapes for her wine, and home baked bread. Her greatest joy was sharing meals and time with family and friends. She will be remembered as being young at heart, a free spirit with a love of life, and a smile that could light up a room. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Andrea, and her brother, Vincent. She is survived by her sister, Maria Figliano; her brothers, Onofrio and Domenico Gullia; her sisters in law, Teresa and Giovanna Gullia, and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and her great-great niece. Funeral services will be 8:45 A.M. Monday, June 12, from the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church. Entombment will be at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. Sunday. Memorial donations may be made to the family to establish a lasting tribute in Anna’s name.
