Ann Malecki

Ann Malecki, 91, died peacefully Thursday, March 4, 2021. Born in Harrison, NJ Ann was the daughter of Paul and Helen (Sikorska) Smiecinski. A graduate of Harrison High School, Ann went on to receive her associate degree from RVCC as an adult. She had been a dance instructor with the Arthur Murray Dance Studio, a licensed real estate agent, and a purchasing agent for RVCC. Active within her community, Ann sang in the church choir, taught catechism for children with special needs and was the founder of a camp for children with disabilities. Ann was kind and generous, and known for her gentle, loving nature. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed. Ann was predeceased by her husband, Anthony in 1997 and her siblings Frank, Walter, Tuffy, and Jean. She is survived by her four children John and Jim Malecki, Judy (Bill) Gilleran, and Jean (Scott) Toy; her six grandchilren John, Kaitlin and Daniel Gilleran; Christopher Malecki; Kimberly (Sean) Riley; and Emily Toy; her sister Helen Malecki; and brother Joe Smiecinski. Gathering with the family will begin 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 6, 2021, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook . Entombment will follow at St. Mary's-Stony Hill Cemetery, Watchung.
