Ann Dickinson Kurtz, 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Care One at Somerset Valley, in Bridgewater. Born in Philadelphia on February 22, 1926, she was the daughter of Quintin T. and Anna Hastings Dickinson of Bound Brook. She was a resident of Green Brook for over sixty-five years. Ann graduated from Bound Brook High School in 1944 and Centenary College for Women in 1946. Ann was the owner of Kurtz Cigar Store in Bound Brook until 1982, retiring in 1984. She was an active member of the Camp Middlebrook Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Green Brook Seniors, the Green Brook Historical Society, the Somerset County Historical Society, where she had served as a Trustee, the Cape May Historical Society, and the Presbyterian Church, Bound Brook. Ann was an avid reader and bridge player. She was incredibly talented with needlepoint and enjoyed sharing her love of genealogy with her family. Ann is survived by her daughters, Sally D’Aloisio and her husband Gary of Middlesex, Nancy Curtis of Green Brook, Barbara Kara of Otego, New York, ten grandchildren and her ten beloved great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Ann is now reunited with her husband George L. Kurtz, who died in 1979, her son, John Long Kurtz, her daughter, Susan Keel, her parents, and her brothers, John and David Dickinson.
