Ann Marie Farshtey, 77, died Friday, July 31, 2015, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital - Somerset, Somerville. Born August 3, 1937, in Yonkers, New York, she was the daughter of Edward J. and Lillian Cronin Egan. She graduated from St. Barnabas High School, Yonkers. She resided in Flushing, Queens, New York, for twenty-three years before moving to Bound Brook in 2004. Ann Marie was a homemaker, dedicated to her family. In 1992, she received her Bachelor Degree from Queens College. She enjoyed crafts, and specialized in making doll house furniture. She was a member of the Somerset Senior Single Women. Ann Marie was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Farshtey, who died in 1994. She is survived by her children, Edward J. Farshtey and Elizabeth Farshtey, both of Bound Brook; her brothers, Harry Egan of North Carolina, James Egan of Yonkers, Edward Egan and Peter Egan, both of Mahopac, New York, and Gilbert Egan of Albany, New York, Funeral services will be 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 5, at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Bound Brook. Interment will be 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Maspeth, Queens, New York. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Tuesday.
