Angelina Romano, 89, died peacefully on July 7, 2022, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to the late Gaetano and Assunta Bonaduce, Angelina attended college and then went on to graduate school at Manhattan College, where she received her master's degree in education.
Mrs. Romano was a teacher at Sara J. Hale High School in Brooklyn. She was an adored English, Cosmetology, and History teacher who dedicated thirty years to treating each student like her own. She moved to Staten Island where she spent twenty-five years, before settling to New Jersey in 1990. Angelina enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending quality time at home. Most of all, she enjoyed the memories created with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nicholas J. Romano in 1999, and her dear sister, Carmella “Millie” Fasano.
Surviving are her loving sons, Joseph Romano and wife Laura, John Romano and wife Carol, and Nicholas Romano and wife Corinne, her cherished grandchildren, Carlo, John, Daniel, Kimberly and Holly, and her great grandchildren, Giancarlo, Johnny, Xavier, Frankie, Nicky, and Sophia, as well as her extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday July 14, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00PM at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook.
Funeral services will begin with a prayer at 10:00AM on Friday, July 15, 2022, at the funeral home. Family and friends are welcome to gather beginning at 9:00 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Bound Brook Cemetery.
