Albert Ralph Bristol aka Neggie, 83, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at Care One in Bridgewater. Born in St. Kitts - West Indies, he lived in St. Thomas USVI, before settling in Brooklyn in 1977. He lived in Bound Brook for the last 18 years. Neggie learned his trade as a tailor in St. Kitts and worked as a tailor in St. Thomas and New York before retiring in 2001. He loved trips and gatherings with family and friends, was active in the Quail Brook Senior Center in Franklin, was a die hard NY Yankee fan and loved sports. Neggie was predeceased by his wives, Evelyn Payne Bristol, and Sylvia Fletcher Bristol; his brother, Walter Matthew and sister, Emelda Garnette. Then cousins, Selvin aka Money and Donald Herbert within the last two months. He is survived by his loving daughter Corinne Bristol of Bound Brook, his grandchildren, Celester(Terilynn) O’Garro, Oleem O’Garro, and Alvern Padilla, and his great grandson Lorenzo Padilla; brothers: Randolph Bristol, Basil Matthew, Llewellyn Herbert; step-children Allison, Burtram, Charline; his companion, Mary Burton, and his “partners in crime” and best friends, Aubrey Williams, Calvin Crook, Arthur John, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Gathering with the family will be on Friday, January 3, 2020, from 5:00 – 6:30 PM at Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, with the funeral service beginning at 6:30 PM. Cremation will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or at alz.org
