Adolfo Acevedo, a devoted husband, loving father, and dedicated educator, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family at the age of 62. Adolfo was born in Huajuapan, Oaxaca, Mexico, to Abraham and Maria (Arroyo) Acevedo. Adolfo's passion for education led him to pursue a bachelor's degree in education, and he spent over a decade imparting knowledge and wisdom as an elementary school teacher. His commitment to shaping young minds left an indelible mark on the communities he served. In 1993, Adolfo and his wife, Xochilt, emigrated to the United States in pursuit of new opportunities. Together, they established a loving home and raised a beautiful family, embodying the values of hard work, resilience, and love. Adolfo was known for his unwavering dedication to his children, always striving to provide them with the best opportunities for success. Though he was a strict man, his love and affection for his family shone through in every action and word. Despite his seriousness, Adolfo had a joyful and bubbly spirit that endeared him to all who knew him. He cherished moments spent with his loved ones, sharing stories and laughter that filled their home with warmth and happiness. In addition to his passion for education and family, Adolfo found great joy in the sport of soccer, a passion he pursued and played for many years, finding camaraderie and friendship on the field.
Adolfo is survived by his wife of 43 years, Xochilt, his daughter, Gladys and her husband Temo Cortes; his sons Cesar, Miguel and Luis Acevedo; his beloved granddaughter Vivian Cortes; his siblings Margarita, Lucila, Rosa and Guadelupe; his brothers Jose and Jorje; and many nieces, nephews and relatives.
