Karl Both

Karl Heinz Both, age 73, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Abingdon Care and Rehab Center, Green Brook. Born March 16, 1940, in Ebenrode, Germany, he was the son of Karl and Erna (Petschelis) Both. He served in the Navy from 1959 to 1963. He retired from the Board of Education in Piscataway as a Maintenance Mechanic in 2011. He also worked for Revlon in Edison for 25 years. He had a strong work ethic and was always ready to lend a hand. Mr. Both was a loving man and dedicated husband and father. He was an advocate for the disabled, working tirelessly on their behalf. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gloria (Dingler) Both, his daughter, Karen L. Both of Piscataway, and son, Keith (Michele) C. Both of South Plainfield, his sister, Marlies Boyd and brother, Eckard Both, his grandsons, Patrick, Kyle, Cameron, and Jacob; nieces, Liz Savage and Jean Varga, and his grandnephew, Jackson and grandniece, Natalie. Cremation was private.
