Judy “Onie” Boehm passed away suddenly yet peacefully, at age 72 years, surrounded by her loving family, on January 10th, 2025. Judy was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee on December 5th, 1952, and lived in Memphis, TN where she graduated from High School in 1971. She attended Bethel College in McKenzie, TN where she met the love of her life, Bill. They were married on November 3rd, 1973, in Memphis, TN and moved to New Jersey after getting married.
She spent her life in Martinsville where she raised her family. When she was younger, she was a law secretary at a firm, she then worked as a preschool music teacher and an education paraprofessional. Her most favorite job was being a caretaker for her children, grandchildren and anyone that would call her their mom or grandma.
She often did jobs to be as involved with her children’s lives as possible, she was a boy scout troop leader, a soccer coach and wonderful homemaker. Judy was always the first to jump at the chance to be involved and a huge part of the community. If anyone needed a shoulder to cry on or needed to lean on someone, Onie was always there, and many people considered her a bonus mom or grandma. Her walls were filled with her magnificent art as she was an incredible artist through drawing and painting, and she loved watercolors. She was an excellent singer and loved sharing her music. Judy loved being a part of the Methodist church and was very active in the church choir, as the section leader and head of the congregation. She had a very close relationship with her spirituality, and her closeness with God was one to be admired.
She was everyone’s number one biggest fan; she supported everything she believed in and loved her favorite people and passions wholeheartedly. Anyone that knew her, knew that Onie would be at every event, show, or game, rain or shine. She was an incredibly selfless individual and put kindness above all else.
Judy’s beautiful soul and incredible unwavering spirit is survived by her husband William Boehm Sr. of Martinsville, her 3 children and their spouses; Robyn (Griffin) and Michael of Hillsborough, New Jersey; William Jr and Allison of Bound Brook, New Jersey; and Matthew and Rebecca of Hillsborough, New Jersey; and her 9 grandchildren; Abigail, Emmeline and Charlotte Griffin of Hillsborough, Aiden and Henry Boehm of Bound Brook; and Lucille, Forrest, Sullivan, and Faye Boehm of Hillsborough.
