Susan Livak, 91, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at home. Born June 16, 1925, in Fords, she was the daughter of James S. and Anna OnDriek Livak. She had resided in Somerset for eighty-eight years.
Susan retired as an assembly worker for the Diehl Manufacturing Division of the Singer Sewing Machine Co. after more than thirty years. She loved to do crosswords and word puzzles, play Yahtzee, read the celebrity gossip magazines, and try her luck in Atlantic City. She was very family oriented, and enjoyed eighty years of “Friday Soup,” which was a family tradition.
One of fourteen children, Susan was predeceased by her brothers, John, George, Mike, and Frank; and her sisters, Ann, Helen, Mary, Margaret, and Lillian. She is survived by her brother, Paul Livak and his wife, Irene, of Millstone Township; her sisters, Elizabeth and Ruth Livak of Somerset, and Dorothy Kalinowski of Manville, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 5, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brusnwick. Friends will be received at the funeral home 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
